John was born in Lucknow and raised in Wingham, he left after
Grade 7 and moved to a farm in Ashfield Township. He worked
in the Wingham creamery when he was 18 years old and for 2
years and in a cheese factory in Blyth then he moved to
Paisley working in the dairy industry and there he met his
wife Cathy a nurse. He has lived in Tara since 1963, working
in the dairy business there and retired in 2007. He has two sons who are married, one who lives the Cayman Islands.
