I have now added a current picture From being the body beautiful I now am an old git. Paul used to say, “die young and leave a good looking corpse”. I left it too late.

I have had a very interesting life. Mum,dad and ! returned to England in 1956 but couldn’t settle so we came back a few months later. We settled in London, Ontario for a couple of years but got wanderlust again and came back to the `UK. Dad was very ill and died just a couple of years later but he had his wish and died at home (dear old England).
I finished off my education in Croydon, England and went out to work to do some banking and statistics. as was my forte, but the loot was not good enough so I soon looked for a more lucrative job. In the meantime Paul and his friend Bill came over to see how I was doing. Paul developed his insurance career in the UK and proceeded back to Canada with one or two wives. We all went through the swinging 60’s and enjoyed it immensely. England was the place to be in those days - we saw all the greats and some not so great - LIVE! Beatles, Stones, Bee Gees, Cream, Hendrix, Floyd the list is endless. I went into retail for 20 years but eventually got bored. So I bought a hotel. It was very good in many ways and Paul came over to sample the delights. Unfortunately, shortly after his visit we went bust; we had bought it on tick and took a massive gamble - I lost. I don’t think Paul was to blame but I am never sure. I then had a series of Kitchen and Bathroom shops which went quite well for a number of years. I was the first Kitchen and Bathroom retailer to have an on line shopping presence which I started in 1998. I moved around quite a bit, as Paul says: I had more houses and telephone numbers than he has had good sex. I actually enjoyed the wandering around but it doesn’t do much for your bank balance, especially when you have a bit of a taste for luxury. Unfortunately 2008 arrived and the recession and along with many others a boring repetition. I was broke again. Since then I have had 2 heart attacks, my mum died and I now have Diabetes. But I am at least settled in Stoke on Trent with my wonderful wife of 45 years - Angela, and near to my fantastic son, his lovely wife and my gorgeous grandson. Paul pops over usually once a year. How long will it last? At least I can’t go bust again? Can I?
